One of our goals when launching End Slavery Now was to help the public take tangible actions towards ending slavery. Don talks below about what we need to do before we can get to the point of having lasting change.
Don Gerred was a narcotics prosecutor in the state of Pennsylvania for 6 years. He then joined the Kolkata (India) Field Office of International Justice Mission office in April of 2006 where he eventually became a Field Office Director. Since 2010, Don has served as the Director of Justice Projects at Crossroads in Cincinnati, Ohio. Crossroads’ mission is to connect spiritual seekers to a body of growing Christ followers who are changing the world.

The reason you can’t take a picture of slavery today is because it is dependent on the narrative. If you don’t know why someone is working, you will not be able to know if they’re enslaved or not.

One of the most common requests and updates I get are for documentaries to raise awareness about sex trafficking. I know these documentaries are being made for the right reasons but I also feel that people do not know how many of these documentaries already exist.
On February 22nd, 2018 join the End It Movement and help shine a light on slavery today.
November 16th is the International Day for Tolerance. Celebrate by sharing the importance of having tolerance when dealing with human rights issues such as modern day slavery.
