Volunteer Opportunities: Yes
In September 2004, MCCSS started the project “Prevention of Trafficking in Women and Children.” The purpose of this program is to prevent trafficking of women and children and to rehabilitate and re-integrate victims and their families. As a first step in this endeavor, research is conducted to identify and monitor trafficking areas. Informant relationships are secured all over the city to learn about specific trafficking incidences and create a bond between the community, social service and law enforcement.
